Pekarangan is characterized by high diversity and stability, good agroecosystems, which should be optimized as a subsistence area daily, specially in fulfilling the nutritional adequacy of the food crops. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the species, color and nutrients of pekarangan plants, to arrange planting plan with color composition of plants in pekarangan, and to propose crop calendar to support food consumption diversification of the household. Research was carried out in Cikarawang Village, Cihideung Udik Village, and Situ Gede Village. The size of pekarangan is used as a comparison in this study. Each sample can be found a front and back pekarangan, but the left and right side of pekarangan are not always found together in one pekarangan. Plants in strata II and III are the dominant strata that found throughout the size of pekarangan. While the horizontal aspects of diversity, plant fruit trees are the most common (41%). Pekarangan contributed to improving the nutritional quality of plant families, specially from the fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, and starch crops significantly.
