Analisis Dayasaing dan Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Aliran Ekspor Alas Kaki Indonesia di Kawasan ASEAN dan China
Abstract
Footwear is one of the leading export commodities of Indonesia. Agreement of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) is expected to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian footwear in Southeast Asia and China markets. The purpose of this research is to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian footwear and analyze the factors affecting Indonesian footwear exports to China and Southeast Asia countries. This research use a Gravity Model with panel data method, covering five countries export destination from 2000 to 2011. Independent variables used are GDP of Indonesia, GDP of the destination countries, the economic distances, the real exchange rate of rupiah and dummy implementation of ACFTA. In addition, this research also uses Revealed Comparative Advantages (RCA) method to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian footwear. The value of RCA shows that Indonesian footwear has high competitiveness both in the markets of Southeast Asia as well as world markets in total.
