Coastal Area Management for Tourism and Fisheries in Pringkuku District, Pacitan Regency, East Java Province

Abstract

Pringkuku District Coastal area was been used for tourism and fisheries activities. But they were not yet been regulated and managed optimally. The objectives of this research was to analize space usage level in coastal area Pringkuku District, to analize suitable and carrying capacity for tourism, to analize area usage level from economic value for tourism, and to arrange sustainable management strategy. The result shown: (1) Area usage for tourism in Srau is about 65.67% and area usage for Watukarung is about 49,00%.(2) Srau and Watukarung area have not exceed the carrying capacity, where the suitability of the area is mostly very suitable. (3) Srau area usage level has reach about 32,26% while Watukarung just reach about 11,59%. (4) Tourism strategy management for Srau area: provide and improvement seat, toilet and trash bin; improvement the road and communication network; provide sign and marking; training for increase human resources and involve personnel for guide. Tourism strategy management for Watukarung area: provide and improvement trash bin, seat, toilet, musholla and food stall; improvement the road and communication network; provide the sign and marking; training for increase personnel human resources; provide guide and involve fisherman within tourism.
