Volume, Biomassa, Cadangan Karbon dan Serapan CO2 Pada Areal Rehabilitasi Tanabe Foundation di Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat
Abstract
Calculation of biomass is one of the important steps that must be done in climate change mitigation in the forestry sector to estimate carbon stocks. This study aims to estimate the potential volume, biomass, carbon stocks, and CO2 uptake in the area of rehabilitation Tanabe in GWEF using the method without stratification and with stratification by the type of dominant vegetation. Data collection was done by making the sample plots in the field using simple random sampling and stratified random sampling. Stratification done after ground checking and determined by 5 dominant stratum in block Tanabe such as stratum aghatis, manglid, pine, puspa, and mahogany. GWEF potential estimation results without stratification providing more accurate results as compared with stratification by vegetation. Potential volume at GWEF Tanabe without stratification has a total presumption value 2384.97 m3. The biomass potential has a total presumption value 1958,53 tons. Carbon stock potensial has a total presumption value 920,51 tons. CO2 uptake has a total presumption value 3378,28 tons.
