Yellowstripe scad (Selaroides leptolepis) is an important economic value fish as one of target species by fishermen in PPN Karangantu. The purpose of this research is to assess the condition of yellowstipe scad stocks in the Gulf of Banten. The research was conducted in May to August 2012. Total number of fish taken during the research were 728 individuals. The results showed that the yellowstripe scad have isometric growth pattern. Size at first maturity of yellowstripe scad was 146 mm with peak spawning occurs in August. Yellowstripe scad exploitation rate has exceeded the optimum exploitation rate that yellowstripe scad in the Gulf of Banten allegedly already overfished. Management measure that can be suggested is through setting dogol mesh sizes and fishing season closure to achieve sustainable use of this resources
