      Abstract
      Population growth and socioeconomic development are currently driving a rapid increase in water demand, especially from household sectors at Bogor City. Meanwhile availability of fresh water is likely to decrease since lack of water resources, climate change, water pollution, over-exploitation of ground water and low efficiency of water usage. Therefore, municipal water management is an important factor and water supply system becomes most essential duties of the government. The objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze the balance of water supply and water demand at Bogor’s water supply system , (2) to perform spatial analysis on regions where the populations have (and not) been served by PDAM water distribution system, (3) to formulate the direction for development of water supply system at the study sites. The results show that water demand in 2031 can not be satisfied, where water supply would have a lack around 1 252 liters per second. EPANET 2.0 simulation show 7 kelurahan potentially underserved by PDAM pipe-based water distribution system, due to its high elevation and low water pressure on pipe. The primary strategy for development of water supply system at Bogor is to push the development of water supply system by PDAM - as the first priority and promote the use of communal-based wells water supply for the areas that are technically (and or economically) difficult to be served by PDAM water distribution system.
