Hubungan Faktor Teknis dan Watak Wirausaha Terhadap Kesuksesan Peternak pada Kelompok Ternak Baru Sireum

Abstract

Baru Sireum herd is one of the herd that can be considered as a successful cattle breeding developer in Cisarua. The quality of the milk produced by the cattle has become a benchmark of the breeder success. The objective of this research is discover the correlation between technical factor of breeding and the entrepreneur characteristic with the breeder success that was gathered in Baru Sireumherd. The correlation was analyzed using the Rank Spearman analysis tools. The result for the cattle food, breeding management, leadership, business planner, and time management are the P-value is lower than the α degree. Furthermore, the result means that those five factors significantly affected the breeder success. Meanwhile, nurseries, risk taking, and decision maker are not significantly affected Baru Sireum herd breeder’s success

Kelompok Ternak Baru Sireum merupakan salah satu kelompok ternak yang dapat dikatakan sukses mengembangkan usaha peternakan sapi perah di Kecamatan Cisarua. Tolak ukur kesuksesan seorang peternak sapi perah adalah dilihat dari kualitas susu yang diproduksi oleh hewan ternaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor teknis peternakan dan faktor watak wirausaha terhadap kesuksesan peternak sapi perah yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Ternak Baru Sireum. Hubungan tersebut dilihat dengan menggunakan alat analisis korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil analisis untuk faktor pakan ternak, manajemen peternakan, kepemimpinan, perencana bisnis dan menggunakan waktu secara efektif menghasilkan nilai P-value lebih kecil dari derajat α. Hasil analisis menggambarkan bahwa kelima faktor tersebut secara signifikan berhubungan dengan kesuksesan peternak. Sedangkan faktor pembibitan, pengambil risiko, dan pengambil keputusan secara signifikan tidak berhubungan dengan kesuksesan peternak pada Kelompok Ternak Baru Sireum.
