Analisis Dampak Keterbukaan Perdagangan Terhadap Arus Masuk FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) ke Indonesia

Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is one of the alternatives for financing the process of economic development of a country. Development of FDI in Indonesia showed a positive trend in the period before the economic crisis. Although the economy has undergone a recovery after an economic crisis rocked, but the condition of Indonesia's FDI has not shown the development of meaning. This is a problem in the midst of Indonesia's efforts to build the economy. The method used was VAR/ VECM. The Data used is the quarterly time series data from quarter I 2000 – quarter IV 2012. This research was done to see the effects of trade openness to inflows of FDI to the case in Indonesia. Based on the test results the VECM showed a significant negative results from trade openness to inflows of FDI to Indonesia

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk pembiayaan proses pembangunan ekonomi suatu negara. Perkembangan FDI di Indonesia menunjukkan tren yang positif pada periode sebelum krisis ekonomi. Meskipun perekonomian telah mengalami pemulihan setelah diguncang krisis ekonomi, namun kondisi FDI di Indonesia belum menunjukkan perkembangan yang berarti. Hal ini merupakan suatu permasalahan di tengah-tengah upaya Indonesia untuk membangun perekonomiannya. Metode yang digunakana dalah VAR/VECM. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series kuartalan dari kuartal 1 2000 – kuartal IV 2012. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat dampak keterbukaan perdagangan terhadap arus masuk FDI untuk kasus di negara Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian VECM yang menunjukan hasil yang signifikan negatif dari keterbukaan perdagangan terhadap arus masuk FDI ke Indonesia.
