      Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Penyerapan Tenagakerja di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan (Periode Tahun 1990-2011)

      Abstract
      In South Sumatra, the amount of manpower was larger than the number of opportunities for employment. This fact made a serious unemployment problems. The purpose of research was analyzing the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product, minimum wage of province, investment, population and crisis on the absorption of manpower and analyzing the sensitivity of the manpower absorption to economic growth in the South Sumatra province. Based on regression analysis, there were four results of research. First, Gross Regional Domestic Product had a negative significant influence on absorption of manpower. Second, minimum wage factor had a positive significant influence on. Third, investment had a positive insignificant influence on. Fourth, population had a positive significant influence on. And the last, crisis had a negative insignificant. Based on employment elasticity analysis, the employment elasticity as a whole for South Sumatra Province until the year 2011, that is equal to 1,49. While based on the economic sector, the employment elasticity was largest in the mining sector is equal to 17,85.
       
      Di Sumatera Selatan, jumlah tenagakerja melebihi jumlah kesempatan kerjanya. Hal ini menyebabkan masalah pengangguran yang cukup serius. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penyerapan tenagakerja dan menganalisis kepekaan daya serap tenagakerja terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi, terdapat lima hasil penelitian. Pertama, PDRB berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenagakerja. Kedua, UMP berpengaruh positif signifikan. Ketiga, investasi berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan. Keempat, populasi berpengaruh positif signifikan dan krisis berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan. Berdasarkan analisis elastisitas tenagakerja, nilai elastisitas penyerapan tenagakerja secara keseluruhan untuk Provinsi Sumatera Selatan sampai tahun 2011 yaitu sebesar 1,49. Sedangkan berdasarkan sektor ekonominya, elastisitas tenagakerja terbesar terjadi pada sektor pertambangan yaitu sebesar 17,85.
