Dampak Pembangunan Infrastruktur Jalan dan Variabel Ekonomi Lain Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Luas Lahan Sawah di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa
Abstract
The role of road infrastructure is important for economic activity in Java Economic Corridor. Infrastructure is needed for developing economic activity, but on the other side it decreases the size of agricultural land. This research is analyzing the impact of road infrastructure development and other economic variables on economic growth and the size of agricultural land in Java Economic Corridor. This research uses panel data model in 6 provinces in Java Economic Corridor 2001-2011. The finding of the research shows that the length of the road (PJ), population density (KP), government consumption (PP), and net exports (NX) has a positive effect, inflation has a negative impact and foreign direct investment (PMA) and domestic investment (PMDN) have no effect on economic growth in Java Economic Corridor. Variable length of road (PJ), population density (KP), and a number of large and medium industries (IND) negatively affected the size of agricultural land in Java Economic Corridor. Peran infrastruktur jalan sangat penting untuk kegiatan ekonomi di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa. Infrastruktur memang dibutuhkan, namun di sisi lain justru mendorong penyempitan lahan sawah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak pembangunan infrastruktur jalan dan variabel ekonomi lain terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan luas lahan sawah di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model data panel 6 provinsi di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa tahun 2001-2011. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa panjang jalan (PJ), kepadatan penduduk (KP), pengeluaran pemerintah (PP), dan net ekspor (NX) berpengaruh positif, inflasi berpengaruh negatif, sedangkan investasi asing (PMA) dan investasi dalam negeri (PMDN) tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa. Panjang jalan (PJ), kepadatan penduduk (KP), dan jumlah industri besar dan sedang (IND) berpengaruh negatif terhadap luas lahan sawah di Koridor Ekonomi Jawa.
