Persepsi Petani Binaan ICDF terhadap Peranan Public Relation dalam Penerapan Budidaya dan Penanganan Pasca Panen Buah Jambu Kristal
Public relations (PR) is a process of mutual communication between the various parties, giving rise to mutual understanding and mutual trusting. International Coorporation and Development Fund (ICDF) used the PR’s role in the development and to make a good perception of the Crystal Guava fruit. This study aims to identify farmers' perceptions of the role of PR in the application of cultivation and post-harvest handling of Crystal Guava fruit and related factors, identify the knowledge of farmers on programs that do ICDF and related factors, as well as analyze the profile of Crystal Guava farmers in the Cikarawang’s village. As the results Crystal Guava farmers showed relatively a good perception of the PR’s role as informator and is quite good on the PR’s role as a facilitator and mediator, as well as factors related to farmers' knowledge of the ICDF program conducted training that includes knowledge of cultivation, provision of means of production, and post-harvest training. Knowledge of farmers on programs that do ICDF Crystal Guava farmers is quite high as well as related factors are age, income, farming experience, interaction with farmer groups.
