Manajemen Pemanenan Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) di Kebun Sei Air Hitam, PT Perdana Intisawit Perkasa, Rokan Hulu, Riau

Abstract

The internship program has been conducted at Sei Air Hitam Estate, PT Perdana Intisawit Peerkasa, Rokan Hulu, Riau from February to May 2012. The purpose of this internship program is to study the technical and management of oil palm cultivation, especially for oil palm harvesting aspects. The data consisted of primary and secondary data. Generally, farm quality and fruit grade in Sei Air Hitam Estate are good with ratio of loses fruit below the standard that has been stated by the company about 3% and fruit ripenes average reaching more than 95%. Management of Sei Air Hitam estate is good with harvest efficiency percentage rate of 94.4% and 5.6% losses. The main problem in the harvesting is a crop rotation due to the national holiday and many rainfall intensity that crop rotation should be improved so that the oil obtained in accordance with market demand.
