Analisis Usaha Sayuran Hidroponik Pada PT Kebun Sayur Segar Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Hydroponic is a technology of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions in water, without soil. Hydroponic technology produces more hygienic, non pesticide, crisper and fresher vegetables. Hydroponic vegetables price is far more expensive than conventional vegetables, however the investment and operating costs are higher. Therefore, in hydroponic cultivation need to consider the type of vegetables produced are high value vegetables or exclusive. The aim of this research is to analyze the cost structure, revenue, profit, and efficiency of hydroponic vegetables business in PT KSS. This research was conducted from December 2012 to February 2013. The results of the research showed that although the PT KSS producing the same type vegetables with conventional vegetables (such as spinach, water spinach, caysim, and pakcoy), the business remain profitable and efficient because of the higher price and higher productivity of hydroponic vegetables that can cover the cost. The R/C ratio obtained by each commodity is ranging from 1,3 to 2,9. Hydroponic water spinach commodity is the most efficient and profitable commodity compare to the other.

Hidroponik merupakan teknologi bercocok tanam tanpa tanah, dengan menggunakan larutan nutrisi di dalam air. Sayuran hidroponik yang dihasilkan lebih higienis, tanpa pestisida, lebih renyah dan segar. Harga jual sayuran hidroponik jauh lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan sayuran konvensional, namun biaya investasi dan operasional juga tinggi. Oleh karena itu, pengusahaan hidroponik perlu memperhatikan jenis sayuran yang diproduksi yaitu sayuran yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi atau sayuran yang tergolong eksklusif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis struktur biaya, penerimaan, keuntungan, dan efisiensi usaha sayuran hidroponik pada PT KSS. Penelitian dilakukan pada Desember 2012 sampai Februari 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa walaupun PT KSS memp roduksi jenis sayuran yang sama dengan sayuran konvensional (bayam, kangkung, caysim, dan pakcoy), usaha yang dilakukan tetap menguntungkan dan efisien dikarenakan harga jual dan produktivitas yang tinggi sehingga dapat menutupi biaya yang dikeluarkan. Nilai R/C rasio yang diperoleh tiap komoditas berkisar antara 1,3 hingga 2,9. Komoditas kangkung hidroponik merupakan komoditas yang paling efisien dan menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan komoditas lainnya.
