Peran Lembaga Adat dalam Perubahan Penutupan Hutan Adat Desa Bayan Lombok Utara

Abstract

The indigenous village of Bayan has customary law (awiq awiq) and is still recognized it is existence. However, the indigenous village of Bayan experience increased damage to the forest. This study is a combination of GIS analysis to changes in traditional forest village of Bayan coverage during the period 1981 2012 and social analyzed of the role of customs in the indigenous village of forest change in the coverage of Bayan village. The result is a traditional forest of Bayan village area has decreased in the period 1981 2000. During this period the indigenous institution did not optimal due to the role has not been recognized by the Government. Then the indigenous institution revitalization has come in 2004 2007. Role of customary institution has better after the proof of the legality of the indigenous forest area and the recognition of the Government through passage of awiq awiq as a regulation of the village. Beside that, planting activities by customary institution are becoming increasingly common in the indigenous village of Bayan so causing forest coverage has increased in 2000 2012.
