      Abstract
This research aimed to evaluate the results of reciprocal crossbreeding between Chinesse silkworm race with Japanesse silkworm race reciprocally, and then compared them with the commercial silkworm races. There were six crossings to evaluate, the silkworm reciprocal crossbreed were female 108 Japanesse crossed male 808 Chinesse (P1), female 808 Chinesse crossed male 108 Japanesse (P2), female Chinesse 806 crossed male 903 Japanesse (P3), female 903 Japanesse crossed male 806 Chinesse (P4) and the commercial silkworm races BS09 (P5) and C301 (P6). There were four variables evaluated, including weight of cocoon, percentage of cocoon’s shell, rendement of rearing, and percentage of normal cocoon. The results showed that reciprocal gave significant effect on weight of cocoon in the first reciprocal (P1 and P2). In the other hand, it gave no significant effect on percentage of cocoon’s shell, rendement of rearing and percentage of normal cocoon. In the second reciprocal (P3 and P4) there was not significant different on every observed variables. The reciprocal crossbreeds (P1, P2, P3, and P4) had higher weight of cocoon than P6. The reciprocal crossbreeds were also had no significant difference with P6 in percentage of cocoon’s shell, rendement of rearing and percentage of normal cocoon. Even though, only P1, P3, and P4 had no significant difference with P5 on all observed variables.
