Tamansari Sub-district with its beautiful landscape combined with high diversity of arts, cultural, religious potentials, and historical uniqueness, as well as high distinctiveness of social community were very prospective for the development of tourism. Tourism in Tamansari Sub-district could be developed through packaging of tourism potential into tourism products with high commercial value. Bogor district’s government had declared Tamansari as Tamansari Integrated Tourism Area. However, there were limited number of products which had been developed. Therefore, it was necessary to carry out research on the development of tourism product in Tamansari Integrated Tourism Area. This study was carried out on August – September 2012, in Tamansari Integrated Tourism Area, Tamansari Sub-district, Bogor District. Data was collected through field observation, literature study, interviews, and questionnaires. Natural potentials of Tamansari Sub-district covered hilly landscape at the foot of Mount Salak on the height of 700 m above sea level that the area had cool and fresh air, and beautiful mountain scenery, Curug Nangka, Setu Tamansari. Sukamantri Camping Ground, and there were agricultural fields that produced excellent commodities. Arts and cultural potentials consisted of many different types of local cultural arts, historical heritage, and traditional events. Religious potentials included Pura Parahyangan Agung Jagatkharta and Indonesian Nichiren Syoshu temple. In addition, the region was also the central of ornamental plants cultivation, as well as shoes and sandals home industries which played the major business sector in the community. Tourism product development was done according to potentions and tourism product aready exist, management planning, and visitor request. The recommended tourism products included development product in the form activities, facilities, and goods. Product development in the form activities including the development tourism programs such as Tamansari Conservation Tourism, Tamansari Industrial Education Tours, Mulih ka Lembur Tamansari, Tamansari Religion-Culture Tourism. Product development in the form facilities such as Warsita construction, provision of special vehicles tourism, accommodation, plant demonstration plots and a souvenirs production house for conservation tourism and aromatic plants demonstration plots. Product development in the form of goods to diversify souvenirs.
