Pembuatan Model Database Register Petak di IUPHHKHA PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri, Provinsi Papua.

Abstract

The forest area development is necessary for the first step of forest management, this stage was aimed to arrange the annual compartments. The compartment is needed to make a register set containing the forest characteristic database on each compartment. Because of the importance of data and information on the every compartment, a database model for Geographic Information System (GIS) is needed. Geographic Information System (GIS) enables us to provide actual and accurate information on forest condition to manage. The aim of the research is to develop database modeling from every compartment at IUPHHK-HA of PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri. The result of this research are expected to be used as database from every compartment by IUPHHK-HA PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri to support further forest management activities. The method used in this research was image selection the timeseries ortho rectified landsat image from 2000-2012 derived from LAPAN as a base map, non production area identification, forest area management, RKT block management, compartment management to sub-compartment, and database modeling development subsequently. PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri consist of production and non production area, this area division was marked as sub-compartment. The non production areaof PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri consist of conservation area, infrastuctur of management area infrastructur, restricted area, and residental area. The result of GIS database model consist of register about information management conducted in every compartment and information about the identification non production area. The database could be utilized for monitoring and evaluation of compartment.
