Kemitraan Budidaya dan Kerajinan Glagah Arjuna (Themeda villosa) di KPH Pekalongan Timur Perum Perhutani Unit I Jawa Tengah

Abstract

One of KPH Pekalongan Timur problems is community land conflict. Perum Perhutani established partnership program between company and community through glagah arjuna cultivation and glagah broom handicraft. The purposes of this program is to keep forets security and increase community welfare. Communities cultivates glagah arjuna under pine tree, due to its flower function as broom raw material and other handicraft product, which has higher added value and increasing their income. These handicraft product, not only consumed by indonesian but also by Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia costumers. This study is aimed to determine and analyze the partnership paterns and level between perhutani and community, and also examined the glagah arjuna contribution to farmer and craftman households. Data collected by observation technique and interview to farmers which were selected by purpossive sampling methode. Besides data were also collected extension data by litterature study of secondary data from Perum Perhutani and related government institutions. Total interviewed respondent were 90, consisted of 60 farmers and 30 craftmans. Based on the study, partnership pattern of this partnership is foster fathers business partnership (pola kemitraan bapak angkat). Partnership level between perum perhutani and farmer score was 452,50 (prime partnership), which need more cooperation agreement. Whereas partnerships between UMK Wana Lestari and KPH Pekalongan Timur score’s was 890 (main prime partnership) which is categorised very good and need to mantain. The biggest average contribution of farmers is in Strata I Desa Tambi (15.47%) and strata I Desa Watukumpul (13,36%). The contribution of Glagah arjuna handicraft to craftmans household income in Desa Tambi was 31.46%.
