Reclamation of the Jakarta Bay is the realistic steps that can be taken by the government in order to meet the needs of industrial and residential land. Reclamation will have impact on economic, social and fisheries sector. The fisheries sector will receive the impact at the first time during both the process of reclamation and post-reclamation. Objectives of the study were to analyze the types of fisheries activities that will be affected by reclamation, reclamation impacts on fisheries, fishermen adaptation on reclamation impact and to formulate the strategies to minimizing the impact of reclamation. Survey and in-depth interviews were conducted to collect the data. Geographical Information System analysis, economic valuation, Content Analysis and Analytical Hierarchy Process were used to analyze the data. Reclamation impacts to fisheries mainly due to disturbing of marine traffic for fishermen, destruction of fish habitat, and conflicting with mariculture (green mussel/Perna viridis). The fishing ground impacted directly is around 1.527,34 ha. Payang, dogol, trap, gillnet, liftnet and mariculture will be affected directly by reclamation. Fishermen thought that they would still work on fisheries sector if the fish resources decline. Based on economic valuation the direct benefit of reclamation is IDR 198.554.200.000.000. The strategy to minimize the reclamation impact to fishermen is education and financial support to fishermen family.
