Peranan Reforma Agraria dalam Meningkatkan Kapasitas dan Kesejahteraan Petani

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze the role of agrarian reform in improving the capacity of farmers, (2) to analyze the role of agrarian reform in improving the welfare of farmers, and (3) to analyze the role of farmers’ capacity in improving their welfare. This research using quantitative and qualitative method. Total 32 respondents were chosen purposefully to obtain data about the implementation of agrarian reform by using questionnaire and in-depth interview. The data processed with Spearman Rank correlation test, the results showed that no significant relationship exists between the implementation of agrarian reform with the level of capacity and the welfare of farmers, and there is no significant relationship between the capacity with the welfare of farmers. It means that agrarian reform plays very small in improving the capacity of recipients to become independent farmers and encouraging to improve their life.
