      Abstract
CBFM is a program of the Ministry of Forestry that emphasize patterns of collaboration among stakeholders including forest villagers. Women are also included within the village community forest. Involving women in resource management is critical to meet the needs of women and gender equality in the forestry sector are identical to men. Therefore, gender analysis technique is necessary to analyze the effectiveness of CBFM. The effectiveness of CBFM can be analyzed based on the economic, ecological dimension and a social dimension. Based on the effectiveness of the economic dimension, CBFM has not made changes in income and changes in the diversity of sources of significant revenue for CBFM activities are limited to the activities of pine resin tapping. CBFM showed positive results of the ecological dimension indicated by the absence of plunder of forest and forest land use optimization. While the social dimension, CBFM still have not managed to achieve gender equality. Women's access to agricultural resources, agriculture, forests and non-forest but the control of these resources are in the hands of men.
