Hubungan Kelompok Teman Sebaya, Strategi Koping, dan Urutan Kelahiran dengan Kecerdasan Sosial pada Mahasiswi TPB-IPB

Abstract

The research focused to analyze the relationship between peer group and coping strategy with the social intelligence of undergraduate female student at TPB-IPB in various birth order. The research conducted from March to August 2012 at campus IPB Darmaga, Bogor. It involved 99 active female students as the sample. Cluster random sampling which specific on birth order in each group used as the sampling method in this research. The data analysis used descriptive test, different test (one-way ANOVA), and Pearson correlation test. The results showed that more than half of the samples had quality of peer relationship and coping strategies in sufficient category and social intelligence performance in high category. The results showed that there was significant correlation between the number of peers; birth order; and quality of peer relationships with social intelligence.
