Pola Pertumbuhan Anak Usia 1 - 5 Tahun di Perkampungan Budaya Betawi Setu Babakan, Jakarta Selatan

Abstract

The growth of a child is important to be observe. Genetic factors lead to different pattern of growth in children. Research on the growth patterns of children have been done in various indonesia showing different results, whereas the pattern of growth in the Betawi cultural village, Setu Babakan is unknown. The purpose of this research is to know the growth patterns of children aged 1 - 5 years in the Betawi cultural village, Setu Babakan South Jakarta. It is carried out in 168 children consisting of 75 boys and 93 girls age 1 - 5 years old measuring weight, height, sitting height and arm circumference. Result showed that the pattern of growth weight, height, sitting height and arm circumference of boys are higher than girls at 1 – 5 years old. Weight of boys were 8.54 kg – 17.97 kg, girls were 8.21 kg – 16.04 kg. Height of boys were 74.07 cm – 109.83 cm, girls were 72.58 cm – 106.13 cm. Sitting height of boys were 37.63 cm – 54.92 cm, girls were 36.31 cm – 53.22 cm. Arm circumference of boys were 14.70 cm – 17.44 cm, girls were 14.02 cm – 16.05 cm. The weight, height, sitting height, and arm circumference of boys and girls ages 1 to 5 years in the Betawi cultural village Setu Babakan generally showed a similar patterns, that is continue to increase along with increasing age. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the status of child nutrition in the Betawi cultural village Setu Babakan, South Jakarta.
