Pembuatan Baseline Sistem Informasi Geografis pada Hutan Areal Kerja IUPHHK-HA PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri, Provinsi Papua

Abstract

The utilization of remote sensing and mapping area that is integrated with a geographic information system will greatly assist in the processes of planning and decision making that will relate to forest management. The integration of remote sensing and geographic information system is a baseline, which is data and information that is ready to use in processing/analysis/modeling. The aim of this research is to develop a baseline geographic information system at IUPHHK-HA PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri, Papua Province. The results of this study are expected to provide map data that has been fitted with a range of accurate supporting information, which can help further activities of the management of PT. Mamberamo Alasmandiri. The method used in this research is data identification, selection and use of timeseries ortho rectified landsat image from 2000-2012 derived from LAPAN as a base map, thematic identification, geometric correction on thematic map owned by PT. Alasmandiri Mamberamo and the development of a baseline map. The results obtained from this research is a thematic data that add up to 17 layers consisting RKU, geology, climate, soil type, slope, forest and water areas, areal structure, land cover, land zonation, management territorial boundaries, block management RKT, buffer zone, customary territorial boundaries, language distribution, prohibited area, distribution of joint territorial (hunting), and the distibution of conflict area. In addition, this research also obtained information in the form of points that add up to 4 layers consisting of forest conditions, log pond, base camp, and residential area.
