Respon Tingkah Laku Ayam Broiler Pada Suhu Kandang yang Berbeda

Abstract

High ambient temperature satch in tropics causes heat stress to chickens that reduced feed consumption and productivity. Under this situation, the chickens often changed their oreintation showed by behavioural changes. This experiment aimed to study the behavioural response of broiler chickens at different ambient temperature of neutral (22 oC), heat (30 oC ) and surronding or environment temperature (accordance with surronding temperature). The behavioural observation was carried out with scan sampling method. There were five behavioural traits observed : eating, dringking, panting, resting, and locomoting. The result showed significant different in panting in day 15, 21 and 27 ( P<0.05 ) among ambient temperature. However, the other behaviours did not different
