Rancang Bangun Sistem Pendataan Perikanan Tangkap di Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Good data collection system is important factor in gaining an efficiency that will create an advantage, especially on fisheries data collection. However, fisheries data collection system in Sukabumi is still very simple and done with the manual system. Seeing the potential of Sukabumi fisheries, we need a system design of effective and efficient data collection in order to improve the performance of any part of the ports in Sukabumi. This study aimed to design a system of web-based fisheries database that can be accessed by any institution in Sukabumi and can be used as consideration in decision-making on fishery policy in Sukabumi. The analysis used is the development of a system that aims to produce an effective operating system based on the information needs of the user by using My SQL (Structure Query Language) and PHP (Hypertext Processor). The results of the analysis have shown that the fisheries data collection system can be identified on data of Sukabumi into 10 parts, production, ports, fishing, boats, type of boats, fishing gear, kind of catch, KUB (Joint Business Group), fisheries enterprise and managing user menu. The web-based application data management process is expected to be more structured and more efficient so as to support the fishing activities in Sukabumi.
