Pertumbuhan Bibit Jeruk Keprok (Citrus nobilis) Hasil Okulasi pada Berbagai Media Tanam dan Umur Batang Bawah Rough Lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush)(

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study Citrus nobilis budding seed development on various growing medium and age of Citrus jambhiri Lush rootstock. The research was conducted in BPTP experimental garden, Cipaku, Bogor from November 2011 to May 2012. The research was consisted of two experiment, i.e. experiment before budding and experiment after budding. The design of experiment was complete randomized groups with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the growing medium that consists of soil, charcoal husk, sheep’s manure, compost, and vermi-compost. The second factor was the age of Rough Lemon citrus rootstock i.e. 8 , 11, and 14 months. The results showed that the highest wet and dry weight of root were found in the plant which planted in the growing media of (soil: charcoal husk: compost or vermicompost) mixture. The best weight of wet and dry root were found in the age of citrus rootstock 8 months. The best height and diameter of Rough Lemon rootstock were found in the age of citrus rootstock 11 months. The growing media of (soil: charcoal husk: vermicompost) mixture was the best media to Citrus nobilis scion budding development. The best Citrus nobilis scion budding development were found in the age of citrus rootstocks 11 months which adapted during 3 months in the growing media. The best percentage of sprout bud, percentage of dormant bud, increase of length bud, length of bud, length of leaves, and width of leaves were found in the age of citrus rootstock 11 months which adapted during 3 months in the growing media of (soil: charcoal husk: vermicompost) mixture.
