Pengelolaan limbah kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) di Teluk Siak Estate PT Aneka Intipersada, Minamas Plantation, Riau

Abstract

The internship was conducted at oil palm plantation of Teluk Siak Estate, PT Aneka Intipersada, Minamas Plantation, Riau for three months starting from February 13th 2012 to May 13 th 2012. The main purpose of this internship is to increase knowledge, skill, experience, waste product management of oil palm plantation, and to analyze waste product of palm oil as an organic fertilizer. The analysis results showed that application of empty fruit bunches(EFB) as organic fertilizer has not been able to increase the amount of nutrients on palm oil leaf and increase of palm oil production. Application of palm oil mill effluent (POME) are able to increase the amount of nutrients on palm oil leaf palm oil especially nitrogen and phosphate and a positive impact to increase production of oil palm plantations especially on the productivity (ton/ha).
