Kajian Mikroskopis Induksi N-Methyl-N-Nitrosourea Pada Kelenjar Mammari Kelinci

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the N-Methyl-N-Nitrosourea (MNU) induction on the rabbit’s mammary gland tumour formation. Six 6-9 month old, female rabbit were induced by N-Methyl-N-Nitrosourea (MNU) intramammary dose 50 μg/kg Body Weight, every 1 weeks for 4 week. After 4 weeks of induction, mastectomy were done. The mammary glands were processed for histopathological examination stained with HE. One lactating rabbit was act as normal mammary control. The result showed that the N-Methyl-N-Nitrosourea (MNU) could induced tumorigenesis which characterized as benign and slow growth tumor, as well as the inflammatory reaction.
