The Reproduction Performans of Cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s “Case Study in PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa, Province of Lampung”

Abstract

This case study aimed as to know about management and the problems that often in the maintenance of the Cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s, pregnancy rate in the natural breeding and artificial insemination of the Cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s, to know the reproductive performance of the Cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s and to know the value of the conception rate (CR) and service per conception (S/C) from the Cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s. this study was carried on November 2007 until July in 2008, based on the method survey descriptive with the primary data collection through the interview from the employee in the PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa, immediately observation, and the activity data in 2006-2007. The data was analysed qualitatively. The observation showed that maintenance management of the goat is good and need to improvement in feeding management and health management. Appear of pregnant in the cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s with the natural breeding higher than artificial insemination, and the value of service per conception (S/C) 1,2 and the value of the conception rate (CR) 80% in the cross Boer and Kacang Goat’s included normal showed that the artificial insemination was success.
