      Abstract
The aimed of this research were to enhance the development, survival rate, and the growth of Botia fish larvae by immersion in a solution of the hormone thyroxine. The method of this research were used 1500 Botia fish larvae aged one day of age hatching. Botia fish larvae treated by immersion for 24 hours with the variety dose of thyroxine hormone respectively: 0 mg/L; 0.01 mg/L; and 0.1 mg /L. Each treatment was repeated 5 times. The results showed that immersion of the thyroxine hormone with dose 0.01 mg/L and 0.1 mg/L can increased the rate of the yolk absorption respectively by 84.64% and 86.36% at 48 hours, while the rate of yolk absorption controls by 72.35%. This research can be concluded that the best dose of thyroxine hormone was 0.01 mg/L because it had the fastest development, the highest survival rate (39±6.54%), and the highest growth (1.06±0.14 cm) compared to the other doses. The research was conducted for 7 days maintenance at incubation room. Then continued with 40 days of maintenance Botia fish larvae in the aquarium.
