Pengaruh Terpaan Tayangan ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’ terhadap Empati Remaja (Kasus Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Dramaga, Bogor)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of exposure influence ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’ among adolescents, factors that influence it, and learn empathy against the poverty annoy adolescents as a result of exposure influence ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’, both cognitive and affective. The research held on SMA Negeri 1 Dramaga, Jl Babakan Dramaga No. 122, Bogor, on April to Mei 2010. Population are adolescent who is student, include ten and eleven grade of high school. Sample (70 respondents) was selected by simple random sampling method. This research used survey method such as questionnaire. The correlation relationship among the variable was obtained using Rank Spearman test and Chi Square test trougth SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results showed that: 1) research indicates that respondent watched ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’ with sufficient frequency (3 to 5 times a month) and high duration (more than 40 minutes). Internal factor influencing adolescent exposure ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’ is ranked in the classroom, while the external factor is the extracurricular activities. 2) Overall, respondents have the high empathy of cognitive and affective against the poverty after watched ‘Jika Aku Menjadi’. Respondents that have high empathy of cognitive and affective against the poverty said they better understand what had happened to the poor around them, the more grateful in their life, more respect to the others, more eager to help poor peoples, dan never give up in their life.
