      Abstract
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrom (AIDS) is a disease in the human system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). In general, HIV virus is transmitted through direct contact with a body fluid containing HIV virus, such as blood transfusion or free sex. The major target of HIV virus infection is white blood cells. Although some therapies for AIDS can reduce the spreading of the disease, there is currently no vaccine or cure. The most effective therapy is antiretroviral therapy. Antiretoviral therapy consist of three therapies, i. e. reserve transcriptase inhibitor, protease inhibitor and a combination of both therapies. The objective of this paper is to determine the influence of reserve transcriptase inhibitor therapy to the dynamics of HI V virus infection in blood. This dynamics can be formulated in some mathematical models, i. e. the model of perfect RT inhibitor therapy and the model of imperfect RT inhibitor therapy. Furthermore, the dynamics of the virus infection can be shown in a basic reproduction number. If this number is less than one, then the virus population will be vanished. On the other hand, if it is larger than one, then the virus population will remain in blood.
