Tingkat Partisipasi dan Kemandirian Petani Alumni Sekolah Lapangan Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu (Kasus Desa Kebon Pedes, Kecamatan Kebon Pedes, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Provinsi Jawa Barat)
Abstract
Agriculture development approach carried out centrally and top down. Failure in reaching development agriculture efforts, made the expert at that time said it was very important to change paradigm of agriculture development to sustainable bottom up approach. Field School (SL-PTT) is as a part of agriculture extension activities, is pointed to empower the farmers, it is one of the way to reach development agriculture point, so it has been more interesting to learn as far. The aim of the present research was to analyse correlation farmer empowerment model of SL-PTT with level of participation and autonomy. This research used quantitative method and was supported with qualitative data. The quantitative data were collected by using survey method on 42 farmers participant of SL-PTT. The respondents were selected by applying a stratified random sampling method. In other hand, the qualitative data were collected with in-dept interview. The results show that activity of SL-PTT had a significant correlation with level participation and autonomy farmers. Most farmers were in middle participation level and autonomy.
