      Abstract
The present study was conducted to determine the effects of probiotic suplementation on different strain broiler performances. The research used 192 day old chicks (DOC) A and B strain which were kept in litter system during five weeks. They were fedd commercially diet produced by PT. Charoen Pokphand (ID-N). The treatment was given after one weeks. Probiotic was provided at levels 0.0 ; 0.1 ; 0.2 and 0.3% in drinking water. The parameters measured were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality. The data were analysed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The significant results were followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. A Completely Randomized Design in factorial pattern with two factors were used in this experiment. Factor A (probiotic levels) and factor B (broiler strain) and tree replications. The results showed that probiotic administration did not significant interaction (P>0.05) between strain and probiotic on feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality. Probiotik levels did not significant on feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality, but broiler strain significantly (P<0.05) influenced feed consumption and feed conversion ratio. The conclusion of this experiment is that the feed conversion ratio of the broiler strain A (1.51) is better than that of the broiler strain B (1.63).
