      Abstract
This research was conducted to study the effect of irradiated vaccine Streptococcus agalactiae as attenuated vaccine (LD50) by gamma iradiation for the prevention of subclinical mastitis. The study was carried out on the liver and kidney of mice (Mus musculus). Twelve female mice were used in this study which divided into 4 groups, negative control (K); positive control (T); vaccine group (V); vaccine and challange group (VT). The treatment were done during pregnancy and challange post parturient (7 days), while vaccination gave during pregnancy with interval one week between first vaccination and boosting vaccine with 108cfu/ml/mice of S. agalactiae suspension a long four weeks. A week after parturient, mice were challange by S. agalactiae isolated from bovine subclinical mastitis case, dropped 50μl 108cfu/ml/teat on to orificium externa of mice mammary teat. One day after word followed by necropsy, samples were collected and fixed by Buffered Neutral Formalin 10% (BNF 10%) and procecced for histopathological slides. The parameters studied were counting of hepatocytes changes as degeneration, inflammation and necrosis both in central and portal vein region. These parameters also observed in kidney on glomerular and tubular part. Data were analized by ANOVA test and followed by Duncan test. The result showed that irradiated vaccine S. agalactiae did not have toxic effect on liver and kidney of mice that can be proved with have no significant different (p<0,05) compared between V group and K group include increase of degeneration, inflamatory cell, and cell death.
