Aplikasi Daminozide Pra Tanam Menggunakan Teknik Perendaman dan Vacuum Infiltration pada Bibit Tanaman Krisan Pot.
Abstract
The aim of this research was to study the effect daminozide applications with several concentrations using the vacuum infiltration and immersion techniques on the growth of potted chrysanthemum. This research was conducted in laboratory and experimental field of Research Institute of Ornamental Plants, Pacet District, Cianjur Regency, West Java, from February until July 2010. The design of the research using Split Plot design. The main plot consisted of five levels of daminozide (Alar consist of 85% daminozide), which are 0.213 g/l, 0.425 g/l, 0.850 g/l, 2.125 g/l, and 4.250 g/l. The subplot consisted of two daminozide application techniques, using vacuum infiltration and immersion techniques. The result of this study indicate that vacuum infiltration or immersion technique did not significantly affect to the observed characters. Daminozide concentration applied significantly affected to number of shoots, the main stem height at 2 weeks after planting pre pinching, plant height, number of leaves, the total number of flowers, flower stem length, and carotenoid content. Interaction of concentration and application techniques of daminozide showed significantly different results on the main stem height at 7 weeks after planting and anthocyanin content.
