      Abstract
Prevelance of chikungunya infectious disease transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus vectors at Bogor is quite high and tend to become an extraordinary outbreak. Study on the breeding site of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus that includes the type of material, colours, form and shape of the container both inhouse and outside house on December 2010 – March 2011 had been conducted by measuring larval index which were container index (CI), house index (HI) and Breteau Index (BI). The results showed that as much as 65,99% indoor water containers were used as breeding site and 34,01% was found at outdoor house water containers. Occurrence of Ae. aegypti was found as much as 82% indoor, while Ae. albopictus were found in outdoor house containers as much as 68,29%. Aedes aegypti was preferable water bath container made of cement with blue colour for breeding site. The three larval indeces i.e CI, HI and BI showed similiar decline changing pattern during period of the survey. Container index (CI) in Pasir Kuda village was catagorized by WHO as high density figure, while as HI and BI were catagorized as medium density figure. Number of CI of Ae. albopictus was significantly correlated with ambient temperature.
