Abstract
Environmental Management Strategy Based on Water Quality Modelling at Tallo Estuary, South of Sulawesi. Tallo River is one of the rivers in the northern city of Makasar, exists many activities, such as, industrial, aquaculture, agriculture, transportation area. The domestic activities have contributed of solid and liquid waste on Tallo river and Tallo estuary. The previous studies indicated that the activities at the river area have influenced on water quality Tallo rivers and Tallo estuary. To decrease the effect of the activities on sustainability of estuary and river function, a model design of the water quality management that involves of many elements based on simulation of water quality models is required. this model can be used as a recomendation for local government policies to conserve the aquatic environment in the future.
