      Abstract
Rambutan is a tropical fruit plant characterized by seasonal fruiting, which limits its availability to only a few months each year. In Indonesia, the main fruiting season generally occurs from November to March, while in Sumatra it extends from September to March. This seasonal nature leads to an oversupply during peak harvest periods and a shortage outside the season, disrupting the continuity of supply for both domestic consumption and export markets. To address this issue, alternative approaches are needed to regulate flowering in rambutan plants, enabling off-season fruit production and improving both fruit quality and yield. One promising method is the stimulation of flowering induction, which can encourage plants to produce fruit outside the natural harvest season.

Rambutan is a tropical fruit plant that grows in humid regions and bears fruit seasonally, supplying fruit for only a few months each year. In Indonesia, the fruiting season generally occurs from November to March, while in Sumatra it lasts from September to March. This seasonal nature results in an abundant supply during peak harvest periods but a shortage outside the harvest season, disrupting the continuity of production for both domestic consumption and export. To overcome this problem, alternative approaches are needed to manage rambutan plants by regulating flowering, so that flowering induction can occur before or after the normal season. This would enable off-season fruit production and improve both the quality and quantity of the fruit. One possible approach is the stimulation of flowering induction to produce fruit outside the natural season.
