Perikanan Mini Purse Seine Berbasis Rumpon Di Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara

Abstract

Mini purse seine is one kind of fishing gear that is efficient. The problem is decrease in the number of mini purse seine since 2010. Therefore conducted research on productivity and effort of mini purse seine. This research was conducted in Sathean, Southeast Moluccas Distric. The purposes of this research are: to describe mini purse seine fisheries; to analyze the status of fisheries resources; and to calculated feasibility of mini purse seine. The methods were used in this research: technique and economical feasibility. The result showed that: the construction mini purse seine in Southeast Moluccas Distric consist of bunt, nets, buoys, ropes, sinkers, purse line, rings and selvedge. The value of Revenue-Cost Ratio is 1,16. The value of Payback period is 3,37 years and the value of Return on Investment is 29,69%. Fish Aggregating Device (FAD) is one kind of an auxiliary gear to catching fish in the shallow and the deep sea waters. The installation was to attract schooling of fish to gather arround FAD, so that fish easily to be captured.
