Public group participation in managemen of forest protected area case in forest protected Gunung Nona Ambon city Moluccas Province)

Abstract

Management of forest protected area be often confronted at dilemma between importance of conservation with importance and requirement of public to the area. Effectivity management of the area would annoyed because the low of its public participation and interaction unable to support. Various factor public heterogenity will influence form of interaction. The aim of this study was to : know and measure participation public in management of forest protected area and analyses characteristic factor (Individual and Organisation) influencing level participation in realizing collective action at management of Protected forest area. This research be design as an research of survey having the character of descriptive corelation where there are variable dependen research that is public participation and variable consists of individual character and organizational character which is heterogenity factor be in public nature. This research population is active public group in management of land (dusung) around forest protect area in Gunung Nona (HLGN) Ambon city. Data analysis applies will test technical Chi square (Chi Square) and its the participation level and be applied will test coefficient of contingency. The result showed that : character factor (Individual and Organisation) having connection tightly and influential to participation public in management of HLGN area is knowledge about protected forest, wide acquisition of area of dusung, status ownership of dusung, old of involvement in organization and official member connection and member of public in organization. Public shows participation calkulatif in role of they as HLGN organizer and shows participation with characteristic compliance of morale in role of they as dusung activity.
