Coastal community in Moluccas was characterized by mostly accupied small islands. This inspired them to preserve their limited marine and coastal resources through made a zone of natural resources exploitation. This management act actually was a invaluable heritage to present and future generation Unfortunately, this method continuously forgotten in generation these days as an impact of emerging of various new methods, which is not based on local knowledge and regional characteristics. That's why this research was done in order to define local wisdom of people in Southeast. Aru Conservation Area related on their traditional area divided system, its suitability with the existence of marine and coastal resources, and activity at every zone which have been specified. Data collected using interview and focus group discussion involve village leaders, local public figures, religion figures and various other information. Data analyzed qualitatively include of define local wisdom, descript, documented and doing participative mapping. Result shows: (1) even land or marine/coastal resources management by community in Southeast Aru Conservation Area was done through traditional zone divided which put carrying capacity in count; (2) there are three zones of land resources and 10 zones of marine and coastal resources establish in order to manage the area; (3) there are seven zones of suitable category, a zone of suitable in condition category and two zones are not suitable to marine and coastal resources zones.
