      Pengaruh 1-Metilsiklopropena Terhadap Penghambatan Produksi Etilena pada Pisang Mas Kirana (Musa paradisiaca) Menggunakan Kromatografi Gas

      Abstract
      1-Methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) is a gaseous compound that can delay maturity by inhibiting ethylene production. This compound was synthesized from lithium diisopropylamide (LDA) and 3-chloro-2-methylpropene (CMP) with varied ratio. The results showed that the best 1-MCP concentrations were made from LDA and CMP with 4:1, 3:1, and 2:1 ratio. This compound was appeared at the retention time of 1.15 minutes. Infrared spectrum showed absorption at 2870–2960 cm-1 from methyl group and 16401650 cm-1 from vibration of C=C of cyclopropene ring. Application of 1-MCP influenced the ethylene concentration. If the concentration of 1-MCP increased, the ethylene concentration decreased, vice versa. Application 1-MCP on mas kirana’s banana could lengthen the storage life for 11 days.
       
      SETYADJIT. 1-Metilsiklopropena (1-MCP) merupakan senyawa berbentuk gas yang dapat menunda pemasakan dengan menghambat pembentukan etilena. Senyawa ini dibuat dari litium diisopropilamida (LDA) dan 3-kloro-2-metilpropena (CMP) dengan nisbah tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi 1-MCP terbaik terbuat dari LDA dan CMP dengan nisbah 4:1, 3:1, dan 2:1. Senyawa ini muncul pada waktu retensi 1.15 menit. Spektrum inframerah menunjukkan serapan pada bilangan gelombang 28702960 cm-1 yang menunjukkan gugus metil (CH3) dan 16401650 cm-1 yang menunjukkan vibrasi C=C dari cincin siklopropena. Pemberian 1-MCP berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi etilena. Jika konsentrasi 1-MCP meningkat, maka konsentrasi etilena menurun, begitu pula sebaliknya. Pemberian 1-MCP pada pisang mas kirana dapat memperpanjang umur simpan selama 11 hari.
