An Analysis on the Effect of Regional Expansion on Regional Economics Development (Case study of Cimani, West Java Province)
Abstract
This research is intended to: (1) anal:vze the effect of regional expansion on economic and welfare development in Cimahi, (2) analyze the effects of regim expansion on the Cimahi regional fiscal capacity, (3) anal~/ze the effects of ~nsion toward mobility of Cimahi regional government in developm~nt that i\1lOt based of the main government subsidiary (development subsidy), if the regi'orml autonomy is not firmly implemented. and (4) tr· analyze the feasibil;ty of expan§ion, The methods of analysis lIsed are descriptive analysis, entropy diver~y index analysis, particip'ative analysis, financial <.lId expansion suitability reporEanalysis, The result of this research shows positive affects of Cimah'i oity expanil.on toward the region's economic and welfare- development. Regional exparruon had also a positive impact on the growth of the region's fiscal capacity, but tli value 'of EDI for the regional income indicates that the region's fiscal capacjy has not developed yet. The distl'ibution of regional autonomy has incre$ed the ability of the region in producing its obtaining and financing the area'sS.development, however, the increasing DAU has proven an oecurring deperillency toward the central government.
