Estimasi Kebutuhan Hutan Kota di Kotamadya Jakarta Selatan

Abstract

Sebuah kota merupakan pusat perekonomian dan segala aktivitas manusia. Hal ini mengakibatkan meningkatnya arus urbanisasi ke wilayah perkotaan karena beberapa sebab, yaitu kebutuhan akan pendidikan, perekonomian, hiburan. Sementara pertumbuhan penduduk perkotaan sendiri menunjukan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Kotarnadya Jakarta Selatan sebagai salah satu wilayah adminstrasi Propinsi DKI Jakruta yang merupakan ibukota negara Republik Indonesia mempunyai magnet yang luar biasa bagi penduduk Indonesia.

This paper describes the estimation of urban forest in South Jakarta using both 02 and C02 approaches. Plants have an important role in lifo as oxygen (O;?) producer and Carbon dioxide (CO;?) absorbent. Oxygen needed by human, vehicles and animals, meanwhile Carbon dioxide (CO;?) produced by human and vehicles. The population growth increase from year to year giving result to the increase of city development that cause negative impact to the green area. This thing also occur on Central Jakarta, because South Jakarta is the center of activities in the province of DKi Jakarta. The necessity of urban forest area on South Jakarta continues to grow every year along with the increasing needs of Oxygen and carbon dioxide produced. The mqjor component that needs oxygen and produce carbon dioxide on South Jakarta is vehicle. Subdistrict which require largest urban forest area based on the needs 9f oxygen and capability to absorb carbon dioxide is Kemayoran subdistrict. The needs of urban forest area nowadays and foture has already above the administrative region of Central Jakarta.
