      Abstract
      Mexican accessions of Jatropha curcas has no toxics but its production is very low in Indonesia, thus required to stimulate growth and flowering with Plant Growth Regulator (PGR). The aims of this study were to determine the concentration and type of PGR which can stimulate growth and female flower formation. Thirty (30) stem cuttings of Mexican Jatropha were planted in polybags for 3 weeks and then transferred to the planting hole and were treated by 5 kg of manure and 5-10 grams of NPK in each planting hole. PGR treatment was sprayed in abaxial surface of leaves every week according to the dose given. Observations of capsules number, seed number, seed weight, plant height, leaf number, number of branches, and branch diameter per plant carried out every 2 weeks. PGR significantly influenced plant height in 16 to 20 Weeks After Planting (WAP). Number of leaves treated by giberellin 100 ppm increased significantly until 20 WAP, and afterward senescenced. Branch diameter was not affected by the PGR treatment. The number of branches were increased significantly with treatment of Gibberellins 100 ppm. Treatment of kinetin 50 ppm has the highest seed production at 28 WAP.
       
      Jarak pagar aksesi Meksiko dikenal tidak memiliki racun tetapi produksinya sangat rendah di Indonesia. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan upaya untuk memacu pertumbuhan dan pembungaan tanaman jarak pagar aksesi Meksiko dengan Zat Pengatur Tumbuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi dan jenis zat pengatur tumbuh yang dapat memacu pertumbuhan dan pembentukan bunga betina tanaman jarak pagar aksesi Meksiko. Tiga Puluh (30) stek jarak Meksiko ditanam dalam polibag selama 3 minggu kemudian dipindah ke lubang tanam dan diberi pupuk kandang 5 kg serta NPK sebanyak 5-10 gram per lubang tanam. Perlakuan ZPT diberikan setiap minggu sesuai konsentrasi yang ditentukan dengan cara disemprotkan pada permukaan bagian bawah daun. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap 2 minggu dengan parameter jumlah kapsul per tanaman, jumlah biji, berat biji, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, dan diameter cabang per tanaman. Hasil pengamatan tinggi tanaman menunjukkan bahwa respon terlihat antara 16 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST) sampai 20 MST. Jumlah daun pada perlakuan giberelin 100 ppm meningkat secara nyata hingga 20 MST dan setelah itu gugur. Pertambahan diameter batang tidak dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan ZPT. Jumlah cabang mengalami penambahan signifikan dengan pemberian Giberelin 100 ppm. Produksi biji tertinggi diberikan oleh tanaman dengan perlakuan Kinetin 50 ppm sampai umur 28 MST.
