Analisis resiko lingkungan pengembangan pasar Angso Duo Kota Jambi di Provinsi Jambi

Abstract

Angso Duo Market in Jambi City is a traditional market which is located on an area of 5 hectares, with a number of traders about 1000 peoples. In last few years, this market expand into the wholesale market. Local Government of Jambi City plans to develop this market in order to meet the needs of the traditional trading activity in the market as well as the wholesale market. This market is located in the center of the main traffic of Jambi city and near the riparian river area of Batanghari watershed (DAS) which is in critical category. Local Government of Jambi City has alternative plans to develop this market , there were: 1) to relocate the market away from the existing market, 2) to relocate the market to the area which were provided by the Local Government of Jambi Province near the existing market, and 3) to maintain existing market by improving infrastructure. The alternative area in second and third alternative is a protected area and asset of Local Government of Jambi Province. The aims of this study were 1) to analyze the environmental risk of market development, 2) to analyze policy alternatives in market development.
