      Abstract
      Hermetia illucens is a cosmopolitan insect that live around the flowers and not a pest. Larvae of this insect is very potential as a source of protein substitute in fish feed which its cost is always increase. The larvae is converting palm oil waste (Palm Kernel Meal) and used as larvae feed. But now the price of this waste continues to increase so that the efforts to find new feed sources is needed. In addition that improving the quality of larvae feed also is needed with hope the nutritional of larvae as feed fish also increase. The aim of this is to study fish waste is used to enrich PKM / PKM-enrichment (PKM-e). This research will study whether a new feed (PKM-E) is better than ordinary feed (PKM 100%) by looking at the growth of larvae, imago fly persentation from pupae, fecundity, egg quality and proximate analysis. Overall, the study showed that PKM-E is better as larvae feed of H. illucens than PKM 100%. PKM-E might also suitable for mass production purposes.
       
      Hermetia illucens merupakan serangga kosmopolitan yang hidup didaerah berbunga dan bukan merupakan serangga hama. Larva serangga ini sangat potensial sebagai sumber protein pengganti pada pakan ternak ikan yang harganya kian meningkat. Larva ini biasanya digunakan dalam menkonversi limbah kelapa sawit (Palm Kernel Meal) yang sekaligus digunakan sebagai pakan. Namun kini harga limbah ini pun terus meningkat sehingga diperlukan upaya pencarian sumber pakan baru. Selain itu upaya peningkatan kualitas pakan larva juga diperlukan dengan harapan kandungan nutrisi larva sebagai pakan ikan juga meningkat. Pada penelitian ini digunakan limbah ikan untuk memperkaya PKM/PKM enrichment (PKM-e). Dalam penelitian ini akan dikaji apakah pakan baru (PKM-e) ini lebih baik dari pakan biasa (PKM 100%) dengan melihat pertumbuhan larva, persentasi terbang imago dari pupa, fekunditas, kualitas telur dan analisis proksimat. Secara keseluruhan hasil pengamatan menujukkan bahwa PKM-e lebih baik untuk digunakan sebagai pakan larva H. illucens dibanding dengan PKM 100%. PKM-e kemungkinan besar cocok untuk tujuan produksi massal.
