Dampak sosio=ekonomi da ekologi kawasan industri batu bata (kasus kampung Ater dan Ciawitan desa Gorowong kecamatan Parung Panjang kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat)

Abstract

Brick Industry activity in Gorowong village can lead into the positive impact and negative impact. For the positive impact, brick industry can improve the socio-economic aspects and the negative impact can degrade the ecological environment around the industrial park. The purpose of this study was to see how the livelihood strategies and the structure of communities living around industrial areas as the impact of socio-economic aspects. This research method used a quantitative approach that supported a qualitative approach. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data obtained through the documentation and study of literature. The data result was processed by using cross tabulation, table frequency and also analysis description. The selection of respondents, used a cluster sampling technique by selecting two different villages namely Kampung Ater and Ciawian. The results showed that the presence of the brick industry in the village of Gorowong affect ecological and economic conditions in the region. Ecological damage was the negative impact of the brick industry, as seen from changes in air temperature which is getting hot and increasing dust in the region Gorowong. However respondents in the two village studies did not object to that condition. The existence of the brick industry in the Gorowong village also brought economic benefits in society, which affects the livelihoods of selected communities that will affect the livelihood strategies and livelihood structures made by household respondents. Based on livelihood strategies and the structure of household income of respondents in both villages could be said that economic level in Kampung Ater was higher compared to the economic level in Kampung Ciawian, because in Kampung Ater activity of brick industry seem to be more active than in Kampung Ciawian, but from the environmental conditions in Kampong Ater was worse than in Kampung Ciawian. This can be seen from the perception of respondents in response to changes in environmental quality of air , which is getting worse because a lot of dust, the air temperature Was also increasing as a result of the extensive number of land cover is diminishing.
